    Cultute of Sindhudurg is beautiful as sindhudurg location ,it is most prominently seen in the art form of the Dashavatar. It is a performance of the ten avatars of Lord Vishnu.

    Dashavtar :

    Culture of Sindhudurg District, MaharashtraIn Indian mythology the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu is collectively known as Dasavatar. To preserve the universe from destruction, Vishnu took ten different forms (Avatar) from time to time. These forms are Matsya avatar (Fish), Katchha (Turtle), Varaha avatar (Boar), Narashima avatar (half man half Lion), Vamana avatar (A brahman boy), Parashurama avatar, Rama, Krishna, Budhha avatar and Kalki avatar. In Sindhudurg district, Dasavatar is a most popular art form. Dance ritual dramas are held in most of the temples during festive occasions.

    There are nine original Dasavatar performing groups in the Sindhudurg district, and the Walawalkar group is believed to be the first. Dashavtar was introduced in Sindhudurg in the 11th century, and this tradition of presenting Lord Vishnu in his ten forms is still practised till date. It is now popularly known as the Adivere Dasavatar.

    Ganesh Festival :

    This festival in August-September is one of the most awaited events in Sindhudurg. It is celebrated with great passion.

    In the Sindhudurg district 38 public places are worshiped. "Matvi" is built in a wooden box on the head of Ganesha, which is performed in the house of Lord Ganesh, on the occasion of Shree Ganesh Chaturthi. These include deserted wildflowers and wildflowers. Some of its fruits and flowers are part of the medicinal plants. They are built in" Matvi".

    Holi Festival is famous in sindhudurg for "shabay" its called in local language which is a form of making entertainment and getting money for entertainment act. as well as in hoi festival all people from village get together in common place and fire a old tree wood in dedication to the story as a whole is testament to the power of devotion (bhakta) over the evil represented by King Hiranyakashyapu, as Prahlad never lost his faith.
